It really shouldn't have ended that way either. Michael has gone through the most stress, and yet die?? The nosebleed and tumor thing, should be taken care of thru that surgery! Even his mother had lived till she's old! I'm really disappointed bout the ending. Really heartbroken too.

You don't know me but I knew your mum and dad and your two sisters many years ago. I worked with your dad on Timor matters in Melbourne in the late 1970s. After many years I saw him again in Melbourne about four years ago. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his very untimely death. Very belated condolences to you and your sisters.

The trigger for this contact: I am involved in a project to preserve archival records about East Timor political activity in Australia 1974-1999. In a small part of this work, I came across a once-off radio program your father did in 1977 and have included a short segment from that program in my blog post today (Chris's segment is early in the whole file).

*laughing* Well I'm now into season 2.. David Tennant is quickly growing on me (I was defiantly thinking I couldn't say goodbye to Christopher Eccleston).. and I'm not sure I can let go of Billie Piper when that episode comes around!

I have to admit that I've only watched the very occasional episode of the current Doctor Who seasons, but I'm thinking perhaps there is more value for me to find in the episodes... perhaps I'll go back and revisit the seasons more completely...

I'd say Stargate (SG-1, at least) is sci-fi with humour that doesn't get sledgehammered into the show quite so painfully as in Dr. Who. And BSG's just depressing.

Still, at least you're heading in the right direction!

Yay!! Another Who fan! I also thought it was for nerds until I watched an episode and then the whole new Who series. Who opened my eyes to a whole new genre of TV and I love it!

I have watched a lot of Stargate (including Atlantis) due to ex boyfriends and my brother. While I didn't mind them, I would have rather been watching something else. I have yet to watch BSG.

If I start watching Star Trek and all it's spin offs, that would be my ultimate dark side.

Oh but Battlestar is the most amazing show ever. Seriously. I avoided it for so long, but when I finally sat down to see what the fuss was all about, I was hooked. Stargate, I don't get. I like Dr Who, but I haven't watched it from start to finish or anything.

It actually opens at the ACMI on October 26th (for a special festival) I definitely can't go alone but its gonna be AMAZING!
